Mrs. Shahima Rehman
Founding President – FMS

Mrs. Shahima Rehman is the Chairperson of Fatima Memorial System, and Chairperson, Board of Directors, Nur Foundation. She has served as a Board member at several funds, government task forces, and councils. Currently, she serves as a member of the Punjab Vocational and Training Council. Under her leadership, the Fatima Memorial Hospital has grown into the Nur- Fatima Memorial System. She holds a Masters’s degree in Public Administration from Punjab University, and a Global Master of Arts Degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, USA.

Mrs. Rakhshanda Rehman
Dean,School of Health Sciences – FMS


Prof. Dr. Rakhshanda Rehman is a Medical Educationist with vast experience in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. She had the honor of being Chair of Obstetrics/Gynecology at FJMC* and then Principal of FJMC, Counselor at College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan (CPSP) for eight years.  She was appointed as Dean Medical Education, Prof Emeritus of Obstetrics/ Gynecology at CPSP. She also has the distinctive honor of being the first female Vice President of CPSP and Country Director for the Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics program of CPSP. She is a WHO* fellow and an honorary fellow of the Bangladesh College of Physicians and Surgeons and has numerous national and international publications to her name. She has been the Dean of Health Sciences at FMS since 2016.

Mr. Khalid Farooq
Chief Executive Officer – NCRP

Mr. Khalid Farooq is the CEO of NCRP and is a graduate of the class of 1973 of Punjab University, with a professional degree in Finance from United Kingdom. Since 1979, he is an Associate Member of the Institute of Administrative Accountants in Great Britain. Prior to joining the Fatima Memorial System/Nur Foundation, he has served as Audit Manager at Javed & Co. Chartered Accountants in Birmingham, UK. Mr. Farooq has played a key role in the acquisition of a grant of charter for the establishment of a University in the private sector.

Dr. Tasleem Akhtar
Senior Technical Advisor

Dr. Tasleem Akhtar was a Research Director at the provincial level and Executive Director at the national level, for Pakistan Medical Research Council. She initiated and facilitated the establishment of Pakistan’s National Bioethics Committee. She has been a reviewer, and author of several publications. For her efforts in health research, she was awarded Tamgha-e- Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan and Life Patron Nomination award by Al-Shifa Trust, Pakistan. Internationally she has received the American Public Health Association Award for out-standing International Collaboration. She has been providing leadership and technical expertise for several projects at NCRP.

Ms. Maha Rehman
Senior Technical Advisor

Ms. Rehman has 18 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, Research, Strategy and Organizational Development. She has worked across the social sectors in Pakistan as well as Canada.  As a co-founder of the Nur Center for Research and Policy, founded in 2008, Ms. Rehman is also an experienced entrepreneur. She holds an M.Sc. in NGO Management from the London School of Economics, UK , a Bachelors in Economics & Political Science from Bryn Mawr College, USA, along with a certification in Entrepreneurship for Women Entrepreneurs, from the Rotman School of Business at the  University of Toronto.  She also holds several Board positions in reputable organisations.

Ms. Saman Tahir
Technical Advisor

Ms. Saman Tahir has been on NCRP’s research and technical team since 2014. She has also served as a Research Specialist at Aga Khan University.  She brings experience in technical writing and managing internationally funded projects including those funded by DFID, MRC Wellcome Trust and World Food Program/UN.  She holds an MS in Human Nutrition from Michigan State University, and a BSc in Nutritional Sciences from UAE University. She leads, supports and provides strategic direction to research and evaluation projects in the areas of Maternal, New-born and Child Health using evidence based research to inform policy and reform practice, particularly with respect to public health issues.

Dr. Seema Hasnain
Program Director

Dr. Seema is working as a Professor/HOD in the Department of Community Health Sciences in Fatima Memorial College of Medicine and Dentistry. She has 19 years of experience in Public Health and has been the Provisional Master Trainer for various programs of Punjab Health Department e.g. Health Management Information System, National Program for Family Planning and Integrated Management of Neonatal and  Childhood illness. She has conducted international research projects with WHO and RAF besides local research projects. She has 16 national & international publications to her credit. She is currently working in NCRP as Program Director.

Ms. Humna Rao
Project Portfolio Manager

Ms. Rao is working as a Manager in the Technical Services Department at NUR Center for Research and Policy. She has been assisting in the execution of various research-based projects including being a lead coordinator for a USAID-SGAFP* funded project. She works towards monitoring and evaluation, project designing, planning, management, resource mobilization, liaising & linkage development, proposal development, and capacity building.

Ms. Saman Tariq
Manager Communications

Ms. Saman Tariq is a communication specialist with experience in developing integrated communication strategies incorporating public relations, marketing and social media presence. Saman Tariq is now associated with NCRP as Manager Communication. She is responsible for creating, implementing and overseeing communications programs to effectively promote the organization and its mission.

Mr. Rizwan Shahzad
Manager Finance & Strategy

Mr. Shahzad works in the development of financial proposals and managing project finances. He has served in many donor funded projects, ensuring financial transparency and adequate reporting, for clients including USAID, UNICEF & Primary & Secondary Health Department. He has over 8 years of experience in manufacturing, trading and social & development industry regarding the management of finances, projects, accounts, taxation and corporate affairs.

Mr. Zeeshan Akram
Assistant Manager Admin & Field Team Lead

Mr. Zeeshan Akram is an experienced Administrator with strong background in project procurement, coordination, inventory and asset management and operational/logistical arrangements. He has more than six years of experience in the provision of administrative support. He has worked on a number of projects with NCRP such as USAID, UNICEF, RAF, ILM Ideas, PYWD etc. providing operational and logistic assistance.

Ms. Maha Younis
Research, Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst

Ms. Maha Younis holds a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore. She serves NCRP in the capacity of Research, Monitoring & Evaluation Analyst, working on the seamless management of the projects being undertaken by NCRP. Ms. Younis’s research interests include diet modifications to prevent and control diseases.

Muhammad Awais
Senior Finance & Admin Officer

Mr. Muhammad Awais is an experienced Finance and Admin Officer with strong background in project financial working and day to day office admin works. He has more than four years of experience in the provision of Finance and Admin support. He has worked on a number of projects with NCRP such as USAID, NAS, Amplify Change, SHF and GWU etc. providing financial and admin assistance.

Zohaib Ali
Office Boy

Mr. Zohaib Ali is serving NCRP for more than 8 years as Office Boy. His pleasant personality and adjustable nature makes him a team player and an important member of NCRP’s team composition
