Chairperson NUR-Fatima Memorial System
Mrs. Shahima Rehman is the Chairperson of Fatima Memorial System, and Chairperson, Board of Directors, Nur Foundation. She has served as a Board member at several funds, government task forces, and councils. Currently, she serves as a member of the Punjab Vocational and Training Council. Under her leadership, the Fatima Memorial Hospital has grown into the Nur- Fatima Memorial System. She holds a Masters’s degree in Public Administration from Punjab University, and a Global Master of Arts Degree from the Fletcher School, Tufts University, USA.

Ms. Maha Rehman

Maha Rehman is a development professional with over 24 years of diverse, cross-sectoral experience in the non-profit sector as well as the corporate sector with her expertise in Monitoring & Evaluation, Research, Strategy and Organizational Development. Maha holds Board positions at Fatima Memorial Hospital, Lahore, NUR Foundation, NUR International University and GoRead.pk, Karachi, Pakistan. Maha is the co-founder, Senior Technical Advisor, Strategy, M&E expert at NUR Center for Research and Policy (NCRP), an entity of NUR Foundation and the technical research arm of Fatima Memorial Hospital, Lahore, Pakistan. She is also serving as Senior Technical Advisor to the Vice Chancellor’s Office at NUR International University (NIU). NIU is accredited by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and chartered by the Government of Punjab. Her areas of expertise are Health, Education, Integrated Community Development and women’s empowerment.

Prof. Dr Tayyab Abbas
Principal – FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry
Prof. Tayyab Abbas, Principal of FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry is a well renowned Surgical Specialist who has more than 30 years of experience in his field as well as medical education, curriculum development, administration, management and clinical training of under and postgraduate medical students. Prof. Tayyab remained on prominent positions in various govt. organizations, hospitals and institutes during the tenure of his long journey of excellence. He is also an author of a Text Book of Surgery and various research articles published in national and international journals.

Dr. Seema Hasnain
Program Director
Dr. Seema is working as a Professor/HOD in the Department of Community Health Sciences in Fatima Memorial College of Medicine and Dentistry. She has 19 years of experience in Public Health and has been the Provisional Master Trainer for various programs of Punjab Health Department e.g. Health Management Information System, National Program for Family Planning and Integrated Management of Neonatal and Childhood illness. She has conducted international research projects with WHO and RAF besides local research projects. She has 16 national & international publications to her credit. She is currently working in NCRP as Program Director.

Dr. Tasleem Akhtar
Consultant
Dr. Tasleem Akhtar was a Research Director at the provincial level and Executive Director at the national level, for Pakistan Medical Research Council. She initiated and facilitated the establishment of Pakistan’s National Bioethics Committee. She has been a reviewer, and author of several publications. For her efforts in health research, she was awarded Tamgha-e- Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan and Life Patron Nomination award by Al-Shifa Trust, Pakistan. Internationally she has received the American Public Health Association Award for out-standing International Collaboration. She has been providing leadership and technical expertise for several projects at NCRP.

Ms. Saman Tahir
Consultant
Ms. Saman Tahir has been on NCRP’s research and technical team since 2014. She has also served as a Research Specialist at Aga Khan University. She brings experience in technical writing and managing internationally funded projects including those funded by DFID, MRC Wellcome Trust and World Food Program/UN. She holds an MS in Human Nutrition from Michigan State University, and a BSc in Nutritional Sciences from UAE University. She leads, supports and provides strategic direction to research and evaluation projects in the areas of Maternal, New-born and Child Health using evidence based research to inform policy and reform practice, particularly with respect to public health issues.

Ms. Maha Younis
Manager Programs & Strategic Initiatives
Ms. Younis holds M.Phil Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition and has expertise in Medical Nutrition Therapy. Focus areas of her work include Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Interpretation and Visualisation of the data. She has also been working for adolescents in Pakistan through Project Safar-e-Hifazat. The project focuses on enabling and empowering adolescents to make informed choices through Life Skills Based Education. While working for the Projects, community engagement has been the driving force to advocate for the needs of vulnerable groups and be the voice of change.

Mr. Khizer Hayat
Manager Finance and Business Development
Khizer is a seasoned Accounting & Finance personnel having over 10 years of enriching professional experience. He worked with both National & International NGOs in the areas including but not limited to financial planning, budgeting, corporate finance, taxation, and corporate laws. He got a good taste of work collaboratively with different NGOs and donor-funded projects of USAID, UNICEF, World Bank, JICA, KNCU, etc. He manages and oversees projects worth millions and has direct liaisons with project teams from scratch till the completion of the project. Moreover, Mr. Khizer is a university graduate and currently perusing Chartered Accountancy (The final stage is in progress).

Mr. Rahim Javed
Program Analyst
Mr. Rahim Javed is an ACCA Affiliate from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, UK. Mr. Rahim is responsible for providing financial insights to enable effective strategic decisions, data visualization, analysis reports, and preparation of budgets/financial proposals for grants. He has served in different donor funded projects, including Enclude, a World Bank Project and AmplifyChange. He has over 14 years of experience in Administration, Finance, Secretariat services and as Analyst in various NGOs, social and development industries.

Mr. Mian Babar Zaman
Program Associate
Mr. Babar Zaman is an experienced professional with over 8 years of expertise in the tertiary education sector. Currently serving as a Program Associate at NUR Foundation, he boosts the NUR Student Leadership Program (NSLP), focusing on nurturing the leadership skills of young individuals. With a strong passion for education and a track record of success, Mr. Zaman has made significant contributions throughout his career. His previous roles have encompassed various responsibilities, including community outreach, collaboration with stakeholders, and conducting professional development workshops for educators. His diverse experience and dedication to education make him a valuable addition to the NUR Foundation.

Muhammad Awais
Finance and Admin Analyst
Mr. Muhammad Awais is a highly skilled Finance and Admin Analyst with over 7 Years of extensive experience and expertise in project financial management and office administration. He has demonstrated a strong track record in delivering finance and administrative support. Mr. Awais has been involved in several projects with NCRP, collaborating with renowned organizations such as USAID, NAS, Amplify Change, SHF, and GWU. In these roles, he has effectively contributed to financial oversight and operational management, ensuring the smooth functioning of the projects. Mr. Awais’s expertise and dedication have been instrumental in the successful execution of various initiatives at NUR Foundation.
